What Happened Season Finalie on Blue Bloods 2017
Tonight on theBlue Bloods season 7 finale,Danny intercepts a shipment of drugs that belong to a Mexican cartel, which makes him a target. Tonight's season 7 finale ofBlue Bloods started off with Jamie doing a welfare check on a woman who hadn't been seen by her neighbors all day, which was strange. When the superintendent of the building lets Jamie in, all he finds is a bloody scene with an elderly woman dead on the floor.
Danny andBaez are called to a multiple homicide and they find themselves face to face with a DEA agent. She tells them about a heroin shipment that the Mexican cartel has coming in. She also believes that the same men had a hand in this homicide. They end up going their separate ways, but later, Danny and Baez end up being put on the DEA team.
Jamie and some other uniforms are passing around information about the murders of the elderly woman and a handful of others. There is someone targeting the elderly and no one seems to have heard anything. Danny and Baez are sitting on a man namedPena. They also reach out to one of their CIs,Carlos, who works with Pena and has information. The DEA agent isn't happy about them doing this, but agrees to get them the warrant they need.
Later that night, Jamie is following up with someone he knows in the neighborhood where these elderly people are being killed. He hears someone yelling for help. Jamie stops him and he brings Jamie to an elderly couple that he found in a nearby courtyard. They are dead. That brings the death toll to six and the mayor isn't happy at all that the NYPD has nothing.
Danny, Baez and the DEA team have put together a raid where the heroin shipment the DEA wants is. After a shootout, they are able to eliminate the cartel people and intercept the heroin. There is about 100 pounds of it in the back of a van. When they go to follow up on the case, they find out that they have flipped Pena. He agreed to be an informant for the DEA. Later, when Danny gets home the DEA agent is sitting outside his house.
She hands him a file with some information on where one of the boats that the cartel uses is docked. Danny still can't go after the cartel's cash because the DEA flipped him. However, with the information on Pena's boat, he can try and get a warrant withErin's help. He goes to see her and tells her about the boat and that he thinks that's how he is getting the money and drugs back and forth.
Jamie thinks that the guy from the courtyard is a little off, but the lead detective on the case thinks that he is paranoid. Jamie follows the guys around later that night and he catches the guy right before he killed another victim. He confesses to it, but he is obviously not competent to stand trial.
Danny and Baez go to the dock where Pena's boat is docked and they approach Pena. They tells him that they don't have a warrant, but they were told by the Coast Guard that he didn't submit a cargo and crew form. That gives him probable cause to search the boat without a warrant. He finds the cartel's cash and seizes it and Pena tells him it's an illegal search, he can't be arrested. Danny tells him he isn't arresting him, just taking the cash. Mentions that his friends in Mexico aren't going to be happy about it.
The DEA agent that gave Danny the information gave it to him because she knew he would use it. She then pretends that she had no idea how Danny got the information andGromley finds himself in a tough spot. He scolds Danny as his boss, but then tells him cop-to-cop, "good work."
Erin is called into her bosses office and she is scolded for not giving Danny a warrant for this bust, but Erin stands her ground. Meanwhile,Frank is a little pissed thatPoole hasn't shown for their press release about catching the guy who was killing elderly people. Danny is on his way home and is talking to Baez. Tells her that they aren't going to get in trouble for this.
When Danny gets off the phone with Baez a call comes over the radio. It's about a police officers house and the address is Danny's house. When he gets there, his house is engulfed in flames! He rushes over and is stopped by a firefighter. He tells the firefighter that it's his house and asks where his family is. All of a sudden, Danny hearsLinda call out to him and she tells him that when her and the boys got home it was on fire.
We end theBlue Bloods season 7 finale off with Frank finding out that Danny's house was payback by the cartel. Danny is angry and wants to make them pay for what they did, but Frank tells him to lay low. Take care of Linda and the kids. Frank then goes to see Mayor Poole and Frank tells him how disappointed he is. He also tells him that he thinks that Poole has lost confidence in his command and he is prepared to step down.
After a brief talk with Poole, Frank knows that he hasn't lost confidence in Frank's ability to run the NYPD. In fact, just the opposite, but he wanted Frank to know that he will be resigning from the city council Monday morning. He tells Frank that all he wants is his support and his word that he is going to give his successor hell.
Erin and Linda are talking and Linda tells her that she is worried about the boys. Henry tells the boys that bad things happen to everyone, just have to move on. Linda can't believe that the house that they built their family in is gone. Danny is beating himself up about this, he feels guilty about what happened. He tells Frank that he doesn't know what to say to everyone. Frank tells him it doesn't matter what he says, just that he's there.
Danny comes downstairs and he is clearly beating himself up because he thinks this is his fault. Linda tells him it was just a house. He tells her it was their home. She tells him that they made it a home, without them, it's just a house and one of the boys said they still had each other. Frank reminds Danny that with family by your side, you can get through anything because nothing will stop their family from fighting.
